Head of Payroll – Chartered Accountancy Practice – Hertfordshire About the Company: Our client was established in 1995 and is one of the largest independent firms of chartered accountants.
About the opportunity We are currently seeking a Head of Payroll based in Tring, Hertfordshire, with practice. The ideal candidate will be friendly, communicative, and have excellent attention to detail.
About the Responsibilities: - Previous experience of managing or supervising a payroll team
- Excellent current, technical payroll knowledge
- Experience in using MoneySoft , Xero payroll knowledge beneficial (but not essential)
- Record and maintain precise payroll records. Calculating and process payments, deductions, pensions, and benefits, ensuring they are accurately reflected on employees' payslips.
- Escalate payroll queries
- Processing timesheets, entering the data and deal with payroll queries efficiently and accurately
- Dealing with 50+ annual payrolls
- 30+ monthly payrolls
- 1 weekly payroll to run
- Experience of processing manual payroll
About the Applicant: - Good organisational skills, communication and analytical skills
- Excellent Attention to detail
- Ability to learn new software
- Must be competent with MS Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
